welcome to kasey curtis therapy

It’s time to feel more at home in your mind, body, and relationships.

Right now, you might feel more lost than at home.

Whether you’re spiraling in anxious thoughts, feeling confused in your relationships, disconnected from food or your body, or weighed down by old wounds… something inside you knows it’s time for a shift.

Maybe you’ve tried talk therapy, self-help tools, or coping strategies—and while they helped a little, they haven’t touched the deeper layers. You wish you could make the changes you need to make, but haven’t gotten there.

That’s where holistic therapy comes in.

You’re not too much, too stuck, too late, or too far gone.

I BELIEVE…..

Symptoms are signals

As confusing as your thoughts, feelings, or behaviors might be, they’re pointing to deeper patterns—past wounds and unmet needs. In their own way, they’re showing us the path forward.

And that’s good news.

Together, we’ll make space to understand those signals, explore where they come from, and gently begin to shift the patterns aren’t working anymore.

HOW I WORK

I see you holistically. My approach weaves together mind, body, and spirit—because real healing happens when we address all of you, not just one part.

In therapy we explore all the dimensions of who you are and what your experiences have been. We’ll discover what parts of you need care, connection, or something new—and learn how to meet those needs.

Real healing happens when we meet the unmet need beneath the symptoms.Once that need is cared for, change stops feeling forced—and new ways of being naturally unfold.

When this happens, you begin to feel more grounded in your body, clearer in your mind, and more connected to yourself and the people around you.

While I can help you with a wide variety of issues, the most common things people come to me for are the following:

  • Maybe you feel confused about where you stand in a relationship, or something that once felt clear now feels complicated. You might find yourself stuck in your head, unsure how to express what you need, or maybe you shut down completely. Or maybe you’ve noticed family patterns you don’t want to repeat—and you’re ready to shift those cycles before they pass on to future generations.

  • You worry a lot, or call yourself an "overthinker." Maybe you feel overwhelmed by the amount of thoughts in your head, which makes it hard to feel confident or at ease. Sometimes you feel tight in your chest and don’t know why. You may even feel panicky out of nowhere. You just want your mind to slow down and to feel more grounded in your day-to-day life.

  • You’re exhausted by the constant noise in your head about what to eat—or not eat. You might carry guilt or shame about your food choices or feel stuck in a cycle of restriction, overthinking, or criticism. Your relationship with your body feels complicated, and your inner critic is loud. Deep down, you just want to feel okay in your skin and at peace with food again.

  • Sometimes the past shows up in the present in ways that feel out of your control—whether it’s emotional outbursts, physical reactions, or that low-key sense of unease that won’t go away. You might struggle to trust others, or even trust yourself. You’ve done your best to move forward, but the weight of unresolved experiences keeps pulling you back. You’re ready to feel safe in your body and steady in your life again.

What exactly is holistic therapy?

I’m so glad you asked.

Holistic therapy means we’re looking at all of you—mind, body, emotions, and spirit—because they’re all connected. Some therapies focus mainly on thoughts. Others focus on feelings or body sensations. I believe they all matter, and each one offers important clues about what you need to heal.

My approach brings these layers together in a grounded, intuitive way. We’ll listen to your thoughts and your body. We’ll make space for your emotions, your nervous system, and the parts of you that may be holding onto old pain.

To support this deeper work, I also draw on a few powerful, evidence-based tools—ones that go beyond just talking and help you actually feel better on a deep, internal level:

🔹 EMDR
🔹 Internal Family Systems (IFS)
🔹 Somatic Psychotherapy

  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing is an evidence based treatment that can help reprocess deeply ingrained patterns of feeling or believing. By working through the original place where certain thoughts or feelings began, we can start to undo the lasting effects of painful experiences.

  • Exploring the inner conflicts and unmet needs of the various parts of yourself can lead to greater insights, understanding, relief, and new directions.

  • Life doesn’t just happen in your head, but your body stores your experiences and emotions. It is important to take the body into account in therapy. Becoming more connected to your body (in a safe way) can help release the pain of the past and find more balance in the present.

Inside the therapy room...

I’m a little bit woo woo and a whole lot grounded and rational. Warm, curious, and real—I bring humor and heart to the work we’ll do together.

Judgmental? Nope. Open-minded and down-to-earth? Always.
Go-with-the-flow? Yep. But I’ll help you make a plan when you need one.

I often tap into creativity and intuition—some of the most magical moments happen when we’re in that zone together, deeply tuned in, and a new insight just clicks into place. I love those moments.

I believe healing works best when you feel safe, seen, and like you can be totally yourself.

Therapy: Come in your pajamas. Make jokes. Heal deep stuff.

Outside the Therapy Room

I’m a California native who loves music, nature, and exploring new places—especially if there's a tropical island involved. I’ve lived in a few different spots, and I’m always fascinated by how our experiences shape how we see the world (and ourselves).

I lean optimistic, but I’ve got a dark sense of humor and love a good deep conversation about the real stuff.

Fun facts: I’m half Mexican (but learned most of my Spanish in school!), and I firmly believe there’s no such thing as too many books—my to-be-read pile just keeps growing. 📚 I’m often wearing all black even though I have a strong fondness for stripes.
